Phone interview followed by in person interview. If you pass those, you are then asked to come in and take an examination in all subjects of interest. The process was seamless and everyone I spoke to was very genuine.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AJ Tutoring (Menlo Park, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
Fairly standard interview with a few no-no questions that I answered anyway because I needed the job. Applied online through craigslist, received a phone call, asked to do an in-person interview, then took paper-based skills assessment tests to determine qualifications. In-person interview was 2-on-1 with co-owner of the company and another high-up administrator.
A brief phone screening, zoom interview, and an academic assessment to gauge your abilities to tutor your desired subject (don't worry, you don't have to know everything at all! AJ Tutoring pairs you with a current Tutor to help fill any knowledge gaps you have).
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AJ Tutoring (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2022
Interview
First there was 1 impromptu phone interview that included general screening questions. Then there was one more comprehensive video interview where I met with the CEO and they asked more pertinent questions for the job.
