I went through a phone screen as well as two in-person interviews with AQUAhydrate. I thought the interviews went very well (though well aware that that does not guarantee a job offer.) I was told a final decision on a candidate would be made the following Friday. As most job searchers know, that is an apprehensive day. I received no phone call or email. I left voicemails and followed up with emails asking if there were any updates with the hiring timeline. I was contacted the next day and told the decision would now be made the following Friday. Again, the day came and went with no contact. Again, I called and emailed the following Monday. This time, however, I received no updates from AQUAhydrate. Now, I've applied for jobs were I've been under qualified, over qualified, sought compensation above what an employer wanted to offer , or there was simply a better candidate I was competing against. It is disappointing to not be offered a job you put in effort to apply to, but a competent and well adjusted adult understands that that is a possible consequence. Never have I encountered a company that was so unorganized and/ or so disrespectful to their candidates as to not at least provide a short follow up email about their decision. Clearly avoiding to return my calls shows a severe institutional immaturity. The silver lining is that I now know I avoided a workplace that would inevitably mistreat me. I HIGHLY recommend against ever applying to work for AQUAhyrdate.
