I interviewed for this role on May 21, and unfortunately, the entire experience left a poor impression. The interviewer appeared to be in a hurry throughout the discussion and often moved on before I could fully explain my answers. Despite that, I answered most of the questions to the best of my ability.
What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of communication after the interview from HR . For over three weeks, I received no update despite multiple follow-ups through calls and messages. When I finally managed to get a response from HR after two weeks, I was told that an update would be shared via email. Another two weeks passed with no communication whatsoever.
On June 9, I had to reach out myself through the interview invitation email thread just to get a status update. Only then was I informed that I had not been selected.
Rejection is a normal part of the hiring process and not the issue here. The issue is making a candidate repeatedly chase for an update and then providing a decision only after being prompted multiple times. Basic professional courtesy would be to communicate the outcome in a timely manner rather than leaving candidates waiting indefinitely. The handling of this process reflected poorly on the company's recruitment experience.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps improve the candidate experience for future applicants.
