You are screened by random person who is not in the hearing industry nor does she work for Acute. She will lead you to believe this is a salary position (which their ads do as well). She will tell you about their HR and marketing depts (neither of those things exist). You will then speak w one of 2 Audiologists that also do hiring, training, and even work in centers. She will share the how licensing works it can take anywhere from 6 mos -2 yrs. During that time you are paid less and while you could earn a bonus it is a pittance and only after everyone else collects. She will then invite you in for a hands on tour/interview/shadow experience w another HIS. It is supposed to be for multiple hours but due to the lack of patients mine was short. I received a quick reply to the thank you email I sent saying she was finalizing an offer that I would Receive in the next couple days but after that communication disintegrated. What I learned was she really had zero authority to negotiate in the hiring process. When I finally got an offer it was more a breakdown of the role. Every counter offer I was Assured would be addressed quickly and instead became days of professional or rather unprofessional ghosting and excuses. From having extensive conversations with me about sites (initially told 2. One was close and one a doable drive) and that for me to go further it would need to be a higher salary or Mileage compensation they turned around and offered me one furthest away. To flat out deceit that they closed the company down to reward staff for achieving a company goal ( that was a flat out like several staff told me) to how the bonus structure works (some employees earn for sales and others for money collected) and unless everyone hits their goals at a site no one got the bonus.
