To clarify, we sometimes invite a second consultant to silently sit in on case interviews as part of their interviewer training. Our standard process is to let candidates know in advance (usually at the time of scheduling), and at the start of the interview, the trainee will briefly turn on their camera, introduce themselves, and then remain off-camera and on mute to avoid any disruption. It sounds like this process wasn’t clearly communicated or followed during your interview, and we take full responsibility for that.
