3rd party recruiter reached out. Started the process but then got ghosted by the recruiter. Decided to apply to the company directly. After a talk with a staff engineer, they had me go through a technical deep dive with a coding and system design interview.
Coding interview was a standard leetcode-style and the system design was pretty typical as well but the recruiter was extremely rude and kept shutting down my ideas with no explanation as to why even though the approaches are valid. It seems like they are looking for very specific answers to open-ended system design questions though your mileage may vary depending on interviewer.

Interview
30 minute Zoom with engineering lead. Hour long technical with a decently challenging OOP related problem. On-site technical consisting of 4 sub interviews, testing decomposition, building, behavioral, etc. Everyone was nice and professional and easy to work with.
Process was long, partially due to rescheduled interviews. Everyone I met was nice and interesting. First interviews were closer to (but not exactly) typical leetcode and system design. In-person interviews were more abstract design problems. The in-person was actually pretty interesting and crafted to reflect the kind of work they do day-to-day. I would not describe the process as difficult, but it was exceedingly thorough.

Question 1
Leetcode style problem. System design type problem.

Interview
Horrible, honestly the suggested pay does not justify the given interview level of a FAANG company. Would not recommend using time interviewing here and to look elsewhere for more pay.
