I applied to a position with Akademos via LinkedIn. I was thrilled about the opportunity and even more excited after the initial phone screen with Amy, the Recruiting Manager. She informed me that she was submitting me to move forward in the interview process and that there would be a delay. A week or so later she followed up saying that the hiring managers were out and that there was a longer wait time but she will reach out to schedule the interview with the managers as soon as possible. After not hearing anything, I followed up expressing my excitement and asking for an update. Complete silence.
Please give your candidates the courtesy of at least letting them know that they are no longer being considered for the position after they've spent time crafting their resume and cover letter and taking time out of their busy schedules to interview for a chance to work at YOUR organization! A simple reply would've sufficed.
