I did a remote interview with a manager who eventually became a Director who eventually became the Managing Principal in December of 2020. This was a follow up to previous interactions at open house events and a more formal interview the year before, but in reference to a specific position which had opened up. Overall we good conversation. I likely hurt my chances that I initially had trouble learning the processes in a previous experience (although I also provided feedback that I ultimately persevered becoming a positive addition to the team). There was no further communication after the interview.
I had a previous interview the year before which was more formal when I was first exploring accounting as a career. I was told at the beginning of this interview that there were not any positions immediately open but they wanted to get to know potential future candidates. The interview consisted of meeting two managers separately and a short basic math/accounting skills test on a computer.
