Heavy focus on GPA, prior finance exposure, and evidence you can handle long hours and ambiguity. Clean formatting matters.
2. First-round interview (30–45 min)
Mix of:
• Behavioral: why investment banking, why Alkali, why co-op.
• Light technicals: accounting basics, valuation intuition, simple mental math.
• Fit check: communication, coachability, and whether you can think clearly under pressure.
3. Second round or Superday
Usually with multiple bankers. Expect:
• Deeper technicals (three statements, valuation methods, transaction logic).
• Market or deal discussion.
• More pointed behavioral questions testing work ethic and judgment.
4. Final decision / reference check
Fast turnaround if they like you. Cultural fit and perceived reliability matter a lot for co-ops.
