Interview process was disappointing and felt disrespectful of candidates’ time.
I arrived 5 minutes early for my scheduled interview, but HR was over 30 minutes late because they had apparently gotten the timing wrong, despite the correct interview time being clearly stated in their own email correspondence.
What made the experience more frustrating was that during the wait, the interviewer was visibly walking around, chatting and laughing with colleagues, without acknowledging the delay or updating me properly. It gave the impression that the candidate’s time was not valued.
I understand that scheduling mistakes happen, but professionalism and communication matter, especially during a hiring process where candidates are also being evaluated on punctuality and reliability. If a candidate had been 30 minutes late, they likely would have been immediately disqualified.
I hope the company improves its interview coordination and candidate experience moving forward.
