Got a phone call on a Friday afternoon to ask if i can come in for an interview either that afternoon or Monday, so I asked if I could attend the Monday (so I can do some research into the company etc) The office is easy enough to find, though as soon as you get through the doors and up some stairs you are welcomed by loud music and a not-very pleasant looking corridor. The Women as the desk was very polite, welcoming and chatty (the same person who rang me). In the one-to-one interview it was mainly the interviewer telling me what the company’s goal/vision is for the next 10-12 months, outlining what they do, and what progression throughout the program looks like However, the interviewer never mentioned what the role itself involves, and at no point throughout the interview, nor at the end, was I offered an opportunity to ask any questions which I had which I found rude. I received a call the same evening inviting me to attend the assessment centre in 2 days’ time. However after giving it some thought, trusting my gut feeling, and researching the company more on GlassDoor I emailed back to withdraw frm the recruitment process. Tt seems that the pay is commission only (which is probably why they never mentioned pay, or allowed me to ask in the interview) and I got the feeling that they don't care much about the individual - I was going to be just another cog in the wheel for them. In other Grad schemes I’ve applied to and researched, there is some flexibility between you and the employer on the professional qualifications you study for, and the role you want to grow into. I see none of that here at A.Innova. I get the impression they just expect you to learn the job they want you to – end of. Overall poor effort in the interview. They forgot the basics - I, as the interviewee, is also screening them to see if I want to work for their company. The fact I never got to ask any questions rose my suspicions that they may be hiding elements of the role. Glad I read other reviews at Glass door so I didn’t waste a day off at an assessment day Whilst I never attend the assessment day, I probably believe others that its waste of time and an awful experience just based on my 15 minute interview.
