I was contacted by a recruiter for this position (after 5p 3/6/18). She describes the position to me. She stated that the position is a very good fit for me. Before proceeding with the process, I have to confirm that this staffing agency will represent me. In 24 hours, I receive a very late response (after 7:30p 3/7/18) that the hiring manager wants to schedule a phone interview at 1:30p (3/8/18). I couldn’t schedule because I take a lunch from 12p to 1p. Since, the job is a perfect fit; I have to convince my boss to take my lunch from 1p to 2p because I work for a company that is very strict on time and rotation. I told the recruiter that I can do the phone interview at 1:30p after much convincing around 9a (3/8/18). She schedules the interview along with the hiring manager through the email. In a separate email, she gave me a job description, company website, and background info on the hiring manager. Now, I work for a company where cell phones are NOT allowed. During my 15 minute break, I look at the solutions, about, case study, and news pages on the website and what the company does. I also looked at the LinkedIn profile along with the name of the CEO for Searchdex. Everything is set for the phone interview, until I receive a message from the recruiter 2 hours later. She says that the hiring manager is sick and she won’t be able to make the call. I have to call the recruiter for the rest of the story because the hiring manager did not reschedule. When I called the recruiter around 12:30p (outside of the restricted area), I was told that the hiring manger was sick, but the story changes. Now, the hiring manager told the recruiter that she will not call me for the phone interview because I work for a company (banking, not technology) and I do not do SEO full time. So, she decides to skip me after all of this! Keep in mind that I’m have advanced SEO experience against multi-billion dollars companies. Because of my experience, I was able to generate almost $500,000 of sales in North America and Europe. I can promote and diagnose any website from any country. I am very good in HTML and CSS coding. I know how to blend Wordpress blogs to standard templates. Besides analytical skills, I’m a certified Google Adwords Specialist. At the end of the day, I’m just very tired of these corrupt SEO companies in Dallas (Seo Dogs, DexYP aka Dex Media aka Idearc Media/Verizon aka other bankruptcy names). To the hiring manager, you need to get your story straight. I do not appreciate on being stood up like this. Hopefully others candidates can see what type of company SearchDex is.
