Interview
The Andela fellowship recruitment process is quite rigorous - they aim to hire Africa's best and smartest. It begins with an online application where you submit the basics - CV, cover letter, educational background, etc. You are then sent an aptitude and personality assessment test.
Stage 2 is the homestudy, where you complete Andela's homestudy curriculum covering the basics of computer science, Python programming, and some HTML, CSS and Javascript. You then sit a proctor test covering everything in the homestudy. The test is divided into 10 sections and could take a couple of days to complete.
Stage 3 is the face-to-face interview conducted at the Andela campus. Stage 4 is the bootcamp - an intensive two weeks ending in a Python project, either a web or console application. The highest performers make it to Stage 5 - the fellowship.
