I applied with a direct email to their people ops person in London. Completed three rounds within a week, was told I was the leading candidate, that it was between me and one other person and they needed an immediate start. I reached out twice over the following two weeks before getting an out of office reply from people ops that she was on vacation. The third time I reached out, days after her return from her vacation, I got a terse reply that the role was on pause and they would reach out "if something changed." The communication was not transparent and overall disrespectful of my time. They set the expectation that their need was immediate, and I arranged my schedule in preparation to meet their needs. For me to have to follow up MULTIPLE times to get a rejection is insulting. The impression I got was though this company has been around for over six years and supposedly profitable with high revenue growth however its obviously that they are EXTREMELY disorganized. Their Finance head in London had JUST left with minimal notice and they were tied to this paper heavy manual process and seemed to be paralyzed to make any meaningful decision. Just another example of poor manners and bad people ops practice, so maybe a bullet dodged?
