I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Anthropic (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2024
Interview
I was invited to do the initial coding screen in Python for the ML Engineer position. It was an application that needed to be built and it consisted of 3 parts, building on top of each other. I enjoyed it! But it was quite difficult given the time restraint, so I wasn't able to finish and got an automatic rejection email.
The interview process was pretty structured but overall a good experience. I first had a call with the recruiter to talk about my background and the role. Then there was a technical screen with some coding questions. After that, I had a few rounds diving into my past ML work and how I approach problems. Final round included some values questions and discussions around safety in AI. Everyone I talked to was sharp and respectful.
