      Instructional Designer Interview

      Nov 5, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apera AI in Oct 2025

      Interview

Applied online and answered a million “what would you do if” questions just for the application. I then got an interview with a recruiter within the week. The questions were tough and sounded like there will be zero on the job training. I then had to take a 3 part personality/IQ quiz where I got an average score on two sections but 90th percentile on the third. Honestly, I could have done better than average on the other two, but I was tired of answering “if two trains leave Chicago at 50mph” type questions. I have a masters degree, more than 5 years experience, and self respect. Making applicants take a quiz is embarrassing for your company and I didn’t want to work there afterwards.

      Question 1

All situational questions. They’re looking for people who can hit the ground running three days ago with zero onboarding.
