Not too hard. Very informal and asked routine questions. Were not very forthcoming on the exact nature of the role however. Involved far different responsibilities than were advertised. Get used to a lot of standing.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Apex Solutions (Columbia, SC) in Apr 2024
Interview
The job was Remote Manager of Engineering... After submitting my application form, I immediately received an automated email and txt from a 'virtual recruiter' asking if I was still interested in the job (description below) and to write back with a preferred date/time for a call. I had texted 'yes' I was still interested so before I finished the email, I had a call from an IVR (aka, an automated Interactive Voice Response). The position was listed as REMOTE in linked in, however, one of the questions asked was, 'This position requires you to commute to Columbia, SC. Are you OK with that?'
I understand it is easier for them to use an IVR than a real person, but I did not like it.

Question 1
Please describe your most recent software project?
The interviewer sold me in the company, really got me more excited about the position. They had a more casual interview, more conversational than just straight question and answers. I look forward to hearing back.
