I saw a job opening for a "Senior Developer Advocate" and contacted the hiring manager on LinkedIn with my profile and intro. He was very prompt with the response and scheduled the first round with me. It was an introductory round with discussing the past experience and the scope of the role and company. He also told me the further process. Which includes an assignment consists of a coding question and a strategy development for the next two years for developer relations. After that second round was a live coding round followed by discussing the strategy with the senior management of the company. Last round was a culture check aka lunch round and then offer.
I did not gave full solution to the coding part which was very necessary for the Sr Developer Advocate role, so we discussed and agreed me to join as a "Developer Community Manager" for which I have to give one last round of interviews with 3-4 more senior employees handling product and community and after clearing that round, I got an offer.
