I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Arhaus (Dayton, OH) in Sep 2012
Interview
Not done in private, conducted in the middle of the store while staff were getting the store ready to open. Very strange. There were private spaces that could have been used. The explanation of the commission structure was very misleading. They tell everyone you'll make lots more than you will. Eventually, after being hired, I found out that everyone was misled in the same way. Look back on other reviews and this will be mentioned. Being honest might keep employees from being disappointed. Just a thought. I had a colleague who did better than many other consultants in terms of sales, but who couldn't pay his bills on his Arhaus salary so he gambled several times a week to augment his income. One day he just didn't show up for a shift. No call, no show, no response to any employee inquiries. He was just done, gone. Moved on to another store in Cincinnati. I saw him quite coincidentally one day in a nice furniture store where I shopping. He was much happier and about to get a promotion after only a few months.
Easygoing. The staff was very kind, on time and receptive. The showroom was very well merchandised. The store overall is gorgeous and parking is easy. The overall process was quick and good.

Interview
Phone interview with recruiter, then quick video interview with regional manager. Most of my coworkers had in-person interviews, but that wouldn't work with my work schedule. Once I explained the schedule issues, they were willing to work around them.

Interview
Simple and very straightforward, pretty much ask you about your drive and interests and why you want to be a part of the team. You just have to sell yourself and discuss the want to improve clients lives!
