General Manager - Planning & Finance Interview

      Sep 10, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Sydney
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Aristocrat (Sydney) in Jul 2013

      Interview

The process started with a phone screening with the internal recruiter and was followed with a 2 step interview process: first with a peer and an HR manager; second with the line manager and the head of HR. There were also brief psychometric tests conducted online. After the final interview I was invited to have candid/informal skype meetings with an overseas peer and the CEO - these were not intended to be interviews - more about me getting to know the people more. Throughout the process I was kept informed of progress by the internal recruiter who also coached me in some of the questions I might be asked from a cultural perspective. It was a long but effective process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There was a focus on cultural issues around communication with the overseas subsidiaries.
