      MLE Interview

      Sep 22, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Artera (CA) in Sep 2024

      Interview

Following the HR screening, there was a live coding round. 1. The coding round covered different topics than what the HR had informed. Was informed that it would be a deep-learning (pyTorch) based coding round. Instead it was some leetcode style questions. 2. The questions could have been framed better and more clearly. When I pointed to the errors and discrepancies in the problem statement, the interviewer's response was a bit arrogant. 3. Possibly lacked understanding about the role. Described MLE as a "coding job".

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Split a dataset into train/val sets, based on certain constraints set out by the classes.
