Was contacted through LinkedIn via the recommendation of a professor and program director. I wasn't checking LinkedIn as often, so the initial message sat in the inbox for over a week. It turned out to be OK and soon set up an interview a few days later. The interview process consisted of three 30 minute one-on-ones in a row. The first interviewer, and the one that contacted me initially, seemed bored and uninterested from the beginning. There was outright expression of frustrating issues that the position would address, however the job description on paper did not match what the company truly needed. I wasn't asked very probing questions and instead focused on explaining my background, resume, and school program. An overview of the company was given.
The second interviewer seemed to be unprepared for interviewing and spoke like I was already guaranteed the position. Again, no technical or difficult questions, and an air of ennui that percolated about.
The third interviewer took a genuine interest in what I could offer and even devised a strategy that addressed an issue between school and working there full-time.
The interview ended with the first interviewer coming back and wrapping up the process. I sent a thank you email and a follow up email two weeks later, but never head from the company again.
