it went well and felt at ease and confident, the onboarding however was a nightmare. Unorganized, nothing was streamlined, had to gather files together from all over the place, very confusing
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Artscape (Toronto, ON) in Sep 2019
Interview
Everyone at Artscape was extremely nice and approachable from the receptionist's warm smile to the CEO's friendly greeting. Artscape has a very open and welcoming atmosphere. I am so pleased to be part of this amazing team! The first interview was a meet and greet style interview with a tour of the facility. I was impressed with the tour which was led by the CEO. It is an amazing workspace to view! The second interview involved a panel of four and an assignment with a presentation.
The phone screening was easy. The first panel interview was friendly. The second interview panel used a good cop bad cop interview model. There was also a written assignment and presentation. I went through all of these steps and then was not notified about the status of my candidacy. Having been through such an involved process, I feel that a positive or negative verdict would have been respectful. Not sure that this process was necessary.
Thank you for letting us know about your interview experience. We are a friendly bunch and I'm glad you picked up on this. We are refining our recruitment processes and we are sorry that you fell through the communication crack. It was not our intention. Normally, our hiring managers send a quick email to everyone they interviewed in-person within 2-3 weeks. When the recruitment process is delayed or lengthened this step has sometimes been regrettably missed. We have now updated our recruitment process to remind our interviewers of this important task.
