      Customer Support Agent Interview

      Jul 3, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Atom Tickets (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2019

      Interview

Went through a hiring agency, had 2-3 phone interviews and 1 on site interview. the phone interview was a bunch of scenario questions. the in person interview was for a few hours. they say they aren't like amazon but they are. you go through interview loops and must meet with 3 plus people . they tried to get me to do an all day interview but were able to budge with 3 hours. people were nice, one younger guy with black hair is kinda rude but you can tell he means well. You also take a pretty easy 10 question test that they make up on a word document so not too professional. However, I did not get an offer. I took off work, drove 4 hours (8 hours round trip) for the last interview only to not get it for "no reason." when I asked for constructive criticism they had none literally NONE, only positive feedback. Also if you're not hired under them meaning through an agency you get NONE of the benefits/perks. like no "unlimited" vacation time, no free lunch, no free movies like literally NO PERKS as advertised on the website. I knew I wouldn't have gotten benefits through them but no perks? kinda sucks, Honestly I saw other reviews saying the exact same thing but I didn't listen and I should have. When I asked them to comment on the bad reviews they didn't deny them either which was nice-ish because they were honest. If you already live in LA and are unemployed with no prior obligations then go ahead and spend 8 hours on an interview. but that wasn't the case for me along with wasting the gas, time and taking the hit for not working that day and after 3 interviews you can say i'm a little sour but who wouldn't be. BTW they also pulled up photos of my current boss and had them up in the background during the interview which was pretty awkward for me. And the office for customer support is like a small room with 12 people crammed in it. oh yeah and there is NO diversity. like I saw one person of color there but they could have worked for Lionsgate seeing as the office is shared with them. as for the color thing I knew that judging from their website so I guess I set myself up for that one. In a nutshell, the experience wasn't terrible it was just a big waste of time for me personally and I would probably feel better about it, if I got SOME type of reason as to why I didn't get it not just "we chose someone else."

      Question 1

Name a situation where you had to solve a difficult problem with a customer. They asked this 5x times so have a lot of angry customer situations
