The recruiter reached out to me directly ( I never formally applied) and I went through FIVE rounds of interview, all that seemed to be going well. Then they ghosted me. Its totally ok if I was not the right applicant but I feel like if i invested that much time with you and you contacted me about the role in the first place, the very least you can do is let me know that you went in another direction. I sent a follow-up email a few weeks after my last interview and no one even responded. Very unprofessional.
