Atwave interviews FAQs
Glassdoor users rated their interview experience at Atwave as 33.3% positive with a difficulty rating score of 4 out of 5 (where 5 is the highest level of difficulty). Candidates interviewing for Associate Client Manager and Account Manager rated their interviews as the hardest, whereas interviews for Coordinator and Account Manager roles were rated as the easiest.
Similar to the other reviews, I had to create a presentation that I had to showcase to about 6 other people, with this only being my second interaction with the company (the first with the hiring manager). It was bizarre, given that they knew my inexperience with ad sales, and even more mortifying that they spent the entire hour making me go in-depth on each slide, one by one, graphic by graphic, etc. It was super unnecessary, given the level of the job and the job itself - seriously, what account manager/CSM creates a whole presentation for existing clients? The CEO also popped in for literally 3 seconds then dropped off. I spent hours on this and they asked me to send over the slides afterward, which was concerning, given that they made me spend more than enough time going through each slide as granularly as possible.
The whole thing was an utter waste of my time and felt like it was more of a team effort to scout for new ideas from candidates since they are a small firm. No questions about my soft skills, experience, or interest. And the fact that I had to chase down the hiring manager about their decision was insulting.

Question 1
How did you decide on allocating this kind of spending?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Atwave (Miami Beach, FL) in Jan 2023
Interview
My interviews with the Director of Client Services were wonderful and great. I skipped the second interview and went straight for the last step in the process - a presentation and team meeting. I worked very hard on my presentation and gave it my all for the short day and a half I had to prep. After all, email marketing was not something I had experience doing, but I was stoked to potentially be a part of the company and I worked extremely hard on it. It's the interview day, I presented it. It went very well. I was very nervous as I have never done a presentation for a job interest. Once I finished the presentation, the managing partner and another member started to ask me questions. That's when the managing partner requested my resume and started to *nitpick* my resume. He asked me what my experience was with landing pages (that's not even listed on my resume) and if I knew Java or C++ as listed on my resume, to which I clarified that I wrote many programs as a CS student for 2 years in college. Both are completely unrelated to email marketing, digital marketing, or of my client success skills. He decided he didn't care anymore and basically used his phone for the entirety of my interview until I decided to ask questions about the company. VERY rude. I'm disappointed and very upset with how this interview went, especially after showing how capable I am of learning a new skill, the effort I gave, and showing that I can do the job very WELL. The managing partner is by far one of the worst interviewer experiences I have ever had. It is no wonder why they are understaffed. I was really looking forward to potentially becoming a part of AtWave, but now I feel like I dodged a bullet. Good luck.

Question 1
You know Java and C++? You know Google Ads? Google?
Applied via LinkedIN and interviewed with the CEO and other company employees via zoom for the first round. Then I was given a project to present in the second round of interviews based on the company model.
