After a phone interview, I came into the office for an in-office interview, exam, and "icebreaker" activity where you go around introducing yourself to everybody in the office. The entire thing took maybe 3-4 hours with the exam taking about 1.5 hours. I was really looking forward to progressing to the final round and contributing to the company, but apparently HR/Marketing hadn't run this position by the C-suite and gotten their approval to hire beyond entry level positions so I wasted all my time interviewing for a position that wasn't even available. This left a very bitter taste in my mouth because I blew past the exam and interview with flying colours, clearly had global and US book industry expertise that they'd have trouble getting in the GTA, and spent half a day in their office, only to be told "whoops, this position is actually changing job descriptions and the new role is entry level so you are over qualified." Based on what I know about Audiobook.com's revenue stream and the book industry as well as how amateurishly I was treated in the interview process, I have to say that you should probably look elsewhere since this company won't be around in five years the way it's going.
