The focus on the technical exercise is on code quality, problem solving and communication. Use this opportunity to demonstrate your technical experience. The interviewers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Be prepared but they will make you feel comfortable.
The competency and culture fit stage is about demonstrating your passion for what you do and how it fits in woth autotrader. The key here is to demonstrate concrete examples of how your experience fots in with the goals and culture of the company.
Interview with HR rep was relaxed and comfortable. Provided lots of resources in advance to understand what kind of interviews to expect. Although the first interview was positive and it was suggested I would progress, it resulted in a rejection.

Initial call with recruiter/hiring manager.
This person did not have the ability to conduct interviews. Very poor, you could tell she didn't understand the basics of software development.
It was like a one way conversation, the points I made where on deaf ears.
