I interviewed at Averill & Associates (New York, NY)
Interview
Phone call first, followed by an in-person interview. Very small office. In the conference room, showed my portfolio and talked about design philosophies and projects I enjoyed working on. Good discussion. Met others in the office. Discussed some design ideas.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Averill & Associates (Fishkill, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
It was a very laid back interview. I was interviewed by the founder - Dianne Averill. She was very relaxed and asked personality/fit questions as to whether or not I would like to work there and if the work intrigued me etc. It was a fairly short interview - about 30 minutes - but I was offered the internship.
She said the emphasis of the internship would be on learning, which works for me :)
