Avignyata interview questions

Got to know about company by doing research on Google. so posted a resume on there website and within hour i received call from HR and on next day i been for a interview. interview was taken by HR girl and she asked me about background detail and other education qualification stuff and it was just a few minute interview and she told me she need to take more interview and within week she will let me know about that and after two week suddenly i get mail that we couldn't select you cause you doesn't meet our expectation.. are u serious guys ? if i doesn't meet ur expectation then why the heck even you called for a interview..before interview you guys had my CV and you guys could have said me directly on phone instead of calling for a interview.
