I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BNY (Miami, FL) in Nov 2021
Interview
Super Day, just asked about goals and professional experiences, outlined the program. First there was a preliminary phone call to talk about availability and the role, then there was a super day in which there was a 15 minute interview with 2 heads of the program, based in different locations. An offer was made by phone later that day.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What attracted you to BNY Mellon? What attracted you to Wealth Management?
Everyone was super nice. The interview contained 2 back to back rounds, and they were all behavioral. They seemed to want to know about my background and interest in the field.
One phone screening round, two zoom interviews with advisors at random locations, Smooth and conversational topics. Want to know about you and your story. Overall, enjoyable process that gave me a good impression.
Highly behavioral and conversational, with minimal technical questions. Mostly pertained to interest in the firm and the role. Two thirty minute virtual calls with wealth managers that were more conversational as opposed to Q and A style.
