I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BNY in Feb 2014
Interview
I had 1 video interview with my future manager which was based from their London office. It lasted for about 20 minutes and consisted of mostly competency qestions. I would suggest learning extensively about the department however and prepare for some tehcnicla questions. In addition be prepared to think on your feet and answer exactly.

Question 1
Fairly simple: challenges to the FS industry, 3 words to describe yourself
Good experience , the interview was tough and too technical . Multiple rounds were conducted. Overall it was seamless and worth it. BNY MELLON has a great history to talk on.
15-minute screening and then 2 30-minute full interviews. Felt conversational and asked standard bevavioral questions, such as "tell me about a time when you've led a project" etc.
I did not have to take any technical screenings as I was interviewing for the People Team.
