I applied via LinkedIn. Got a response from HR within the next day with an interview set up for the week after. HR interview was routine and relatively pleasant. Then on the next week they scheduled a technical interview with the Backend Team Lead. The technical interview lasted for about an hour and a half and was basically a drill down into various technologies and frameworks and even evolving language features. A week later I got a response they did not wish to continue further. The impression I got is that they want someone who really keeps up to date with all the latest stuff and carries a lot of technology specific information in their head, if you want to pass this interview be sure you have it all up to date and well researched because you will be drilled down to even minor details you don't usually think about on day to day basis. I mean it's nice and all but some of us also have lives outside work which we want to dedicate to other things and not just "live" software.
