Bateman Carter interview questions

I arrived at Bateman Carter's London office and was greeted by one of the consultants. We sat down in one of the meeting room's and he introduced himself (having already spent time speaking with him on the phone) and felt at ease immediately. We ran through some interview questions and were speaking for around 45 minutes. The interview was largely focused around my background and motivations to want to break into recruitment, however the consultant was very easy to talk to and made the interview seem more along the lines of a conversation as opposed to an interview. Another consultant then came up and spent an additional 25 minutes with me and the line of questioning was similar to the first consultant. We spent a large portion of it discussing what I was looking for out of an opportunity and then several roles were discussed which sounded great. Finally, they discussed my availability to interview and told me to check my emails for interview confirmations. I had interviewed at other companies that were similar to Bateman Carter and I would 100% recommend these guys - they seemed to take a genuine interest in what I was looking for.

Brief telephone call, asking questions such as why recruitment etc. Then asked to come for a face to face interview at their office in London. This is a rec2rec company, so they are suppose to help you find a job within recruitment, but unfortunately Bateman Carter were useless. The face-to-face interview went well and the guy was very positive and had a couple of jobs lined up for me already (apparently), he even said he would organise interviews for the next couple of days. However I did not hear from them ever again, I even sent a couple of emails which were completely ignored. Absolute waste of my time and money. AVOID!!
