Interview Process took over 6 weeks because they're very unresponsive. they do the typical come interview for a senior role and then at the end they say we can bring you in at a lower level just so they can pay you less.
during the last interview with the CTO, CEO and Eng manager the CEO asked all the questions which sets the tone for the how the company is ran if i'm an engineer you'd expect the eng manager or CTO to have questions for your or be curious about your experience.

Interview
The recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn in August 2025. We had a nice initial call and I was left waiting for them to pass info to a hiring manager. I messaged them a few times during next couple weeks only getting "Sorry for the delay." so I forgot about them. Then, more than a month after our call, I received a letter from someone from Beam Impact inviting me to schedule a hiring manager interview. I went to their calendar to only find out that the next available day is in 12 days. Weird but fine with me. It was actually a pretty pleasant convo with their co-founder and CTO Alex. However, it didn't seem like a regular hiring manager interview. We only talked about my current role and I don't even remember a single tech question. All convo was around how the work processes built in my company/team, how I communicate with clients, etc. At the end I asked her why they got interested in me as a candidate and got a genuine answer: "I don't know. I'm not a hiring manager. She's on vacation." She said she would pass the hiring manager her notes and they would contact me after. A week passed with no letters. I followed up with an email (any updates for me?) but got no response. It's been 3 months since our interview so I think it's fair to guess that they have nothing for me to say and I may leave this review here.

Interview
First, you have a 1 hour tech question with an engineer. Then, you have a 1 hour system design question with a senior engineer or manager. Finally, you have a 1 hour behavioral interview with the CTO and CEO.
