I interviewed for the GIS Specialist position at Beam and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. After the initial interview, I was asked to complete a criteria cognitive aptitude test and a personality test, which seemed excessive and unnecessary for the role. Though I spent time practicing as advised, I felt like this process didn’t align with the expectations for the position.
Despite investing significant time and effort into the assessments, I have not heard back from Beam since completing them. The complete lack of follow-up or communication is incredibly unprofessional, and it makes me question whether they truly value candidates’ time.
Additionally, after researching the company and reading feedback from current and former employees, I came across some very concerning reviews about the CEO, which only added to my reservations about Beam as an employer.
Overall, I feel I may have dodged a bullet by not moving forward with this opportunity, and I would caution others to carefully consider the red flags before engaging with this company.
