The process was very straightforward and practical. I met the manager through a referral, and had left him my resume on a prior meeting. He called me to come in for an interview, and said he was looking for part-time help, which was perfect for my schedule. He was curious to know about my computer designing skills, particularly using MS Word and a little of Adobe, mainly to make fliers and write e-mails to sponsors. He also was interested in seeing and enthusiastic, outgoing personality to fit the PR mindset, as well as increase the volume of patrons in the restaurant/lounge/bar on particular weeknights. I told him I could assist in creating themed nights (ie. Wednesdays for Film and Theater directors and actors, Fridays for corporate working professionals). This was the main goal of my work. I was paid hourly.
