Big Footprint interview questions

I was told that I would be a nice fit for either an Senior SEO Manager or Project Manager at their company. The first interview went well. I was told I would be sent an assessment and would need to do a presentation for the next interview. I didn't mind doing that until I received the assignment. They requested I do a 12 month SEO Strategy for one of their clients. Basically do alot of free work for them. I however did the project which took several hours of my time. The next interview didn't go as well but they were quick to request the file of my strategy from me before letting me know that I did not get either of the jobs. I think that a Linkedin badge showing that you have the skillset or a short assessment is acceptable but not free work. It was disappointing.
