I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England)
Interview
The process:
started with a phone interview: short conversation about my previous experience and a programming challenge on CodePair. The problem was fairly easy but the focus was on complexity, explanation of data structure choice and testing. Two days later, I got an invitation for an onsite interview, which was scheduled for two weeks later.
On-site interview:
Because I study outside UK, Bloomberg has offered me both plane tickets and accommodation.
There, I had 3 interviews : one technical, one design architecture and one behavioural. The technical one was similar to the phone interview, with 2 CodePair tasks this time and two interviewers. During the design interview, which I had the following day, I was asked to design classes, interfaces and methods I would use to design an app for which i got a description (written on a paper). The behavioral interview was an extended discussion on my previous experiences, the way I would improve myself and what is the impact I believe I could have on the company.
All the interviewers were very professional and have created a comfortable and secure environment I could showcase my skills in.
Overall, it was a positive and professional interview experience, though the interviewer was on the stricter side. Unfortunately, I was dealing with an illness and wasn't able to prepare as thoroughly as I wanted to, which left me feeling a bit off throughout the conversation. Despite not feeling my best and facing a tough interviewer, the process was well-structured.
Fairly simple. Phone call then onsite. For onsite it was 10 min office tour follow by 1 hr interview then 1 hours system design and 30 mins manager interview. Interviewers were nice and the recruiter was accommodating.
5 rounds first 3 being leetcode coding ones and the last 2 being behavioral. The first three are the hardest asking mainly taggeed questions and the rest are not that bad
