I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
The application process was simple enough but the interview process took more than two months. Five interviews about 1-2 weeks apart. The interviews were mostly short but very intense. They wanted to see how far I could bend before breaking under the pressure. A few seemed too formal, like someone just wanted to check the box.

Question 1
Is there anything that would keep you from accepting an offer to work at Bloomberg?
It was a lengthy process that could have been streamlined. The in-between-stages communication was fast and easy. I was asked to summarise articles in real time. It took about 45 minutes. After that, we discussed my experience and qualification.
It was good, the interviewer was really calm throughout and kept me engaged with all sorts of connections that we were making while conversing. The hiring manager was really kind enough to answer a lot of my questions.
Friendly interview about my past journalistic experiences and my understanding of the financial/economic markets. Questions linked to economic events in the country the office is located in and technical questions about finances, stocks, bonds, currencies.
