Did a quick phone interview to go over qualifications with recruiter. Was scheduled for an interview that occurred a week later. I interviewed with 2 management level personnel at the office. The in person interview discussed my qualifications and was a casual discussion about past experience in the field. I received a call a few days after my interview with an offer.
Issues in the process, and why I'm not an employee there is because of the recruiter. During the phone interview when we discussed salary expectations, she conformed my requirements would be easily met due to my experience. After my phone interview she was supposed to send me an invite that I didn't receive, she followed up with me the day before my interview and said she would send me the invite; I never received an invite and even called her the morning of my interview to get it but always received her voice-mail. I did my own research to find the location of my interview. The recruiter called me a few days after my interview with an offer 12k below my salary expectation that she previously assured wouldn't be an issue. Before I said anything (never even asked if the salary was negotiable) she told me that she needs me to make a counter demand. I made a counter demand 5k below my expectation, she assured me she would call me back the following day as it was end of business. I have never heard from her again and I have followed up with her twice, leaving 2 voice messages. I would recommend that you don't waste your time, and gas money. I would also like to add that the offer they made was 7k below the bottom 25 percentile of salaries for that position.
