      Head Office, Mat Cover Interview

      Nov 22, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boden

      Interview

Recruiter/HR leaves unclear voicemails instead of an email, and then expects candidates to come to offices for 1st stage interview even if you're currently working full time, and there hasn't been a basic conversation to assess suitability. The hiring manager made a comment about the role with regards to the person being on mat leave, saying they 'have' to keep the role open, but 'you never know what will happen with these things,' which felt a tad unprofessional. I wouldn't like someone saying that kind of thing if I was on parental leave. The JD was quite long for what the role was and the level it was at, and full of typos. Quite strange overall, they seemed to have high standards for candidates but not themselves. So, not a great experience for me.
