Was asked to travel to Waterford office but job was in a different location 1 hour away. Would not disclose salary or range before I went. When I arrived and entered into the office the woman basically sat in silence, didn't ask me any questions and just started talking about how they were going to take over the autotrade and all the smaller companies/ other independent companies would be gone. I asked for salary (it was 25k) and it was extremely low considering the hours and my previous experience. I advised that I'd started on that salary (different industry-finance) 4 years before, I was told that was irrelevant because I didn't have motor experience (remember it was just a receptionist role, not sales or anything in depth knowledge about the car industry was required for). I advised that I was sorry, salary was too low and I didn't want to waste any time. No questions were asked about my CV or experience. I was advised that I'd hear from them. A few days later I received a call to come back for another interview on site. I attended as I had made my salary expectations clear and met with a different woman who advised me that there was no room for negotiation on the salary and would I consider the 25k? Hard no. Left again politely. Received an email a few days later saying I wasn't successful.
