Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) Interview

      May 12, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Niagara Falls, NY
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Borealis (Niagara Falls, NY) in May 2026

      Interview

The interview process was professional and focused mainly on safety experience, EM 385 knowledge, and previous industrial/construction job history. They asked about handling AHAs, toolbox talks, hazard identification, incident reporting, and working with crews in the field. The interviewer also wanted to know how I handle safety violations and communicate with workers and management. The process was straightforward and more conversational than difficult. They also discussed scheduling, travel expectations, and experience working in high-risk environments.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What would you do if you saw a worker not following safety procedures?”
