The interview process was quite extensive (initial call, online HackerRank test, followed by multiple assessment-style interview rounds). While the interviewers were professional, the overall experience could be improved in two key areas.
First, I was evaluated on very academic details (e.g. memorization of specific optimization formulas) rather than practical understanding and real-world application. This type of expectation may be better aligned with entry-level or recent graduate profiles, whereas experienced candidates tend to focus more on problem-solving, system design, and applied decision-making.
Second, the process would benefit from greater transparency and feedback. Receiving a generic rejection after several intensive rounds makes it difficult for candidates to understand where they fell short and how to improve.
Overall, the role and team seem interesting, but better alignment between the seniority expected and the evaluation criteria as well as more constructive feedback would significantly improve the candidate experience.
