I really enjoyed my first conversation and my experience seemed to align well with their needs. The person reached out to me within 48 hours to set up the next round.
During my next round, I met with 3 people. All conversations were pleasant but pretty much solely focused on data/reporting. At some point, I started wondering whether they are looking for a People Analytics person.
I was told that I would hear back from them in a day or so. I haven't heard from them for a week.
My next round was with their HRIS person. This role is supposed to manage integration between ATS and HRIS and the person needs to work with both Recruitment and HRIS teams on that.
This interview itself was pretty bad. The person wasn't engaged or engaging at all. I didn't get much information on what that partnership will look like; I had to drag out the information from the interviewer. I was asked 3-4 questions with zero follow-up.
Two days later I was rejected due to my limited HRIS integration experience. This was extremely surprising since the first 4 interviews were very data-focus, but I got rejected for something completely different.
Their job description doesn't mention how much you actually need to know/do with that ATS/HRIS integration but mentions that experience doing that is nice. I do have that experience, but the interviewer never asked me about that (even though I mentioned that during my interview).
