The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Brex (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2020
Interview
Four interviews: coding, frontend, system design, values.
All interviews revolved around real world scenarios. The coding and system design questions were easy, very broad and uninteresting. I was expecting something much harder and answered questions as such. The frontend question was excellent and well suited to measure performance. They shared the feedback with me a couple of days after and made little sense: what I lacked I could have learned or refreshed on the job in a matter of days if not hours. The frontend feedback was confusing: if my lack of experience in React was a problem, why interview me in the first place? It makes no sense.
I'd think they would hire engineers that can think through, collaborate and solve tough problems?
I left the interview process having learned absolutely nothing.

Question 1
- Coding was about writing a payment authorization function with datastore interaction
- Frontend was about writing a search component with autocomplete using React
