I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brooklyn Defender Services (New York, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
Received an email back stating that I was one of the chosen candidates for an interview. scheduled an interview for a week later. The in-person interview was short- less than 30 minutes. The interviewer tested my Spanish proficiency, went over my work and academic history, and asked me about my personal life. It was a decent interview although I felt very little chemistry between myself and the interviewer. I had the impression that they are looking for a very specific type of individual- I won’t go into it further than that.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Brooklyn Defender Services (New York, NY) in Feb 2015
Interview
Interview with two people that work there. They are both friendly and young. Hardest part was when they ask you scenario questions. They go through a list of different scenarios in which you have to determine how you could come up with an explanation that could be used to defend the defendant, They also focused a lot on why I would wan to work for them. Also asked how I would handle being in a situation in which I do not feel secure.
