I arrived 15 mins early and was collected from Reception immediately. One interviewer was on the phone so I made conversation with the other inteviwer, that collected me from Reception and we talked about the role. After 5 mins I was invited in.
I was asked to explain how I had got to where I was. Along the way, I was asked a few questions to go deeper in the specifics.
Then I was asked if I had any questions. I asked a couple about the culture and philosophy and priorities, and also about the hours required to be worked.
I expected then to be asked some situational questions probing my experience but the interviewer announced that he could see quite clearly what my experience and skills were from my CV and would be in touch in a couple of weeks.
The interview ended by the shaking of hands, and the meeting room door being opened. I was expected to see myself out of the open plan office and back down the corridors of the shared office building to sign out at Reception.
I felt totally dismissed and that my time had been completely wasted. It seems clear that they were not interested in me. Really don't know why they invited me if they could see all they needed on my CV. Its not been two weeks yet but I think the writing is on the wall!
