I interviewed at CALPIRG (Santa Barbara, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
Worked as a field manager in a citizen outreach and fundraising office for CALPIRG's sister non-profit, The Fund for the Public Interest, the summer before jr. yr. of college at UCSB and was offered the position of Canvass Director when I graduated. Declined, was recommended to the PIRGs to look into campus organizing, set up an informal first round, was recommended, had skype second round, received a call in 2 weeks with an offer without a specific location, said I would consider it based on location, was offered UCSC a week later and accepted.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to work for CALPIRG? How would you register 100 people in a 24 hour period? What is your past experience with political organization?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at CALPIRG (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Two rounds of interviewing; first interview was with a campus organizer, VERY casual. Second round (if you get invited) takes place at one of their main offices. Two one on one interviews with two staff members, then group (1-3 other people) case interview. Case interview poses a campaign scenarion that they want you to work through. Second round interview typically takes 3 hrs.
